I believe it was actually Gary Numan to first incorporate horrific masks into his live performances. So rather it is not so much that either was copying the other as much as they both copied Gary Numan.Did slipknot copy mushroom head with their masks?
Damn. I am afraid that Mavis beat me to it. The idea is credited to legendary rocker Gary Numan.
