Does everyone go through life with a mask to an extent?

It's not possible to live and wear your heart on your sleeve, or you would get your emotions trampled on all the time wouldn't you? Or if you do let everything in, does it make you stronger in some sense, and you just tell it like it is because of your emotions?Does everyone go through life with a mask to an extent?
well you see if you wear your heart on your sleeves yes it would be trampled at every turn especially with all the uncaring gold digging people nowadays. it makes you stronger if you get over the tramples and transcend above them. if your not strong enough then you have the potential of becomeing bitter and hateful to everyone and everything with no care of wat happens due to a hardened heart. your right it is impossible to answer because there is no real question here. its possible after all and by the mask thign everyone wears a mask. some live thru it and some only wear it for things.Does everyone go through life with a mask to an extent?
I do not know what is a mask for you ? For me someone who is wearing a mask is a person who would lie to herself in hope to convince everybody of her false reality . I have a friend like this ;OK here a example of which she is living right now ;; She is taking care of her sister who is mentally sick ; but just before Christmas that sister had been diagnostic with uterus cancer [ she is scheduled Feb the 3 th for her surgery ] ; but even if the doctor has warn her that it was cancer ; she told me today that maybe the doctor is wrong ;; are you seeing what I mean She had put her mask again ; personally I do not wear a mask I am facing the reality ; and it doesn't matter how cruel it can be ; but of course I am not telling to the whole world all my private life

Yes, by all means, we all wear metaphorical masks. We have to in polite society. We have certain mores and rules that we typically abide by.





People- most of them- who claim to be 'brutally honest' are only so ';forthcoming'; because of some hidden hostility.
