Have there ever been any real life masked heroes?

In the real world, has anybody actually gotten dressed up in a costume and gone out at night to fight crime?





I mean an actual sane person, not some schizophrenic who thinks he's Batman.Have there ever been any real life masked heroes?
surprisingly enough theres quite a lot of them, ill list some I know and what they do/wear.


Terrifica - wears a gold mask, valkyrie bra and blonde wig - she patrols NYC protecting drunk women from attackers.





Angle-Grinder man - wears a suit with a huge AG on the front, he hacks off alegedly illegally fitted clamps from peoples cars in Kent, England.





Polarman - HE clears people pavements of snow in Canada, and patrols at night for criminals,





Squeegee Man and Captain Xavier Obvious - these guys also go around New York looking for criminalsHave there ever been any real life masked heroes?
Zorro, was allegedly Real.

There have been a handful of folk heroes, who have done stuff like that, but not in recent times, that I know of.
We may have had undercover heros but no masked ones. Think about it, how silly is it really?
I think that Zorro was real.
