Why does buckethead wear a white mask, and KFC bucket on his head??

I was wondering why he would do that and to himself and if you can find a picture of him with out the mask and bucket that would be great too.

Personally, I found an article that interviewed him and offers some background. It appears he was shy as a kid and fascinated with slasher flics--hence the mask. The first link is the article by Kurt Loder.

btw: I listened to a little bit on you tube...he sure is a talented guitar player and enjoyed his music (believe it or not)...but freaky...I included a link to ebay selling Buckethead masks.Why does buckethead wear a white mask, and KFC bucket on his head??
Though I'm not sure about this, I've heard Buckethead was raised somewhere near a farm or something. Like near a chicken coop. And his Grandmother gave him his first guitar and he played it like crazy. I think that is how he has the KFC bucket and the chicken people. But I have no clue about the white mask, I think it's just to hide his face. It wouldn't fit with just a bucket. You need the mask. :P
DUH cuz his names bucket head so he wears a bucket on his head like if ur name wuz underwear head i bet u would wear underwear on ur head itz just instinct LoLz
