Finch type bird in Sicily -- black mask, red mandible, white wing bar, flight like goldfinch. What bird is it

Could be bullfinches, except that bullfinches have red breasts as well. Not sure if they have duller winter plumage, but that could explain the difference.





Do they look anything like this?
